 Habitat for Humanity ReStore

What is a Habitat ReStore? 

The Habitat ReStore is a retail outlet selling surplus new and used building materials and previously owned furniture at prices from 10% to 50% of original retail value. 
 

Why Have a ReStore? 
 

bulletProfits help support the Habitat For Humanity Winchester-Frederick County Affiliate so they can build simple, decent, affordable housing
bulletProvides reduced cost building materials for use in upgrading/maintaining houses for:
bulletHabitat homeowners
bulletSupports environmental goals
bulletOffers an opportunity for recycling
bulletReduces material going to land fills - The Winchester/Frederick County Landfill reports it gets 4600 tons of building materials per month.

bulletProvide affordable products for low income home owners

How Do I Donate? 
 

bulletContact the ReStore and tell them you have a donation

bulletIf you wish to bring the items to the ReStore, call first, and we will have someone meet you to help unload
bulletIf the items are large or you would like to have them picked up, we will schedule a convenient pick-up time

What We Accept and Sell 
 

bulletPlumbing - Sinks, bathtubs, shower enclosures, faucets, Misc. plumbing hardware
bulletLumber - Dimensional, sheet goods, trim and moldings
bulletLighting - Good to excellent condition, in working order
bulletStorm Windows and Doors - Windows and screens, and all tracking or framing
bulletWindows - Double-hung, picture, bay, - complete window units with all sashes
bulletPaint - (Latex only) full or nearly full cans
bulletFurniture - dressers, chests of drawers, tables, chairs - Good to excellent condition - Not upholstered
bulletHouse Hold Items - Lamps, and small appliances in working order, and decorator items
bulletAppliances - Household appliances are accepted if they meet inspection and are not more than 5 years old.
bulletOther Items - Cabinets, mantels, moldings, doors etc. from older buildings, wallpaper, shutters (interior and exterior), hand and power tools, AC units, gas logs, free-standing wood stoves, and miscellaneous hardware
